Thanksgiving-a-palooza continues this week, as we count down to the FoodShed’s favorite day of the year. (Which is Thanksgiving.) One thing we love to think about is side dishes. There are too many fabulous side dishes for us to eat all in one remarkable evening, but we’ll share some of our favorites with you, to get you in the mood. You pick your favorites, and tell us about your family’s traditional dishes.
This winter slaw is hearty and satisfying, and the mango, papaya and candied macadamia nuts add some extra joy. It goes great as a side with fish – we had it with the pan fried trout. The recipe is from Yotam Ottolenghi‘s book Plenty, which is full of amazing vegetable recipes and gorgeous photos.
