Churchkey – The Official Summer Beer of the Seattle FoodShed

It’s official. Churchkey is the summer beer of the Seattle Foodshed. This light, easy-drinking pilsner has a lot going for it – A Seattle-Portland pedigree, a low alcohol content for summer sipping, and some pretty unique (new school/old school) packaging.

Ok, check it out. In the old days, beer used to come in steel flat top cans. This partnership between Churchkey Can Co and Two Beers Brewing is bringing the old school back. Each six pack comes with a churchkey opener to punch two holes in the lid. There’s something very ‘The Wonder Years’ about it.

Also of interest: The beer is brewed from a recipe created by two home brewers from Portland, brewed up at Seattle’s Two Beers Brewery (one of our favorites) and transferred next door to the Churchkey Can Co to ferment and be canned. Oh, and did we mention that Adrian Grenier from Entourage is one of the owners? There’s so many topics to discuss whilst drinking this beer!
