A Classic European Breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien

My first experience with Le Pain Quotidien was in Paris in 2004. I wanted to load my suitcase full of all their jams and bread.

When I travel, especially in a large city, I tend to crave a classic European style breakfast. For me, that is a soft boiled egg, gruyere cheese, bread and a double americano.

I love their communal tables, classical music and amazing bread. They are now in 18 countries, but not yet in Seattle. I love them.

Ruth: le Pain Quotidien also refers to how in the past (in France anyway) people where going to church everyday to get the holy bread 🙂
