Read through our blog and you’ll see – we LOVE mussel recipes. But for good reason – this glorious little local bivalve deserves every bit of the attention it gets. They’re super easy to make, so delicious to eat, and the ways you serve them are only limited by your imagination. This recipe started with two extra bulbs of fennel and a need for an impromptu, after-work dinner party with some of our favorite Bachelor-watching ladies.

FoodShed Foraging – A Mussels Feast at Case Inlet

It was a glorious Saturday on the Key Peninsula this weekend, and after a quick hike through the woods in the back forty, we headed down to the beach to do a little exploring at low tide. The Puget Sound is full of all types of bounty, and we were quite excited to find a wonderful harvest of mussels, just waiting to be found.

Mussels in a Green Curry Sauce

We saw this recipe in the New York Times for mussels in a green curry sauce and had to make it. Considering we live a short distance from the amazing Taylor Shellfish store in Seattle, it was an easy decision to make.
